The simplest and cheapest option for an investment account that I've been able to find is the
MS Access roboadvisor account which requires a minimum of $5,000 and charges a 0.35% management fee. Perhaps the FT hivemind will turn up another option for an investment account, but I don't think MS does the discount brokerage stuff anymore.
