I noticed this as I looked out of the window of the Marquis lounge last week. The Reni badly needs a renovation. Not sure what is going on though. Where do cars go if they can't use the 9th street entrance? In the past four years I have seen that hotel get more and more beat up. Granted, they re-did the lounge, and that is nice. But the elevators take forever, the decor or the lobby/bar is tacky and outdated. Last summer it rained very hard and the atrium leaked. And all the rooms and hallways smelled like a rotting swamp.
Yet, the place is always packed, and I don't understand why.
Exactly where I'm at with this place. Not to mention their WiFi doesn't support WhatsApp continuously. It only lets a connection through about once every ten minutes I've noticed.
I think it's always full because a) it's a centrally-located property that has rooms available more often than the Marquis or Wash Marriott; b) it's always cheaper than those two properties.
I'm about to go try the Courtyard around the corner this week as the Ren is full and I need to extend my stay.
