Yes, the airline should be able to transport the passenger when both passports are presented.

I have dual-citizen travel party members quite often whose name in part in the passport from one country is different than the name in the passport of another country and yet they are always able to travel despite the ticketed name only being a full match with one country’s passport but needing to travel with and use both country’s passports for various reasons on a ticketed itinerary. While some airline reps get confused about such situations, I have found that being confident about doing this before and saying so always has worked for me without issue. Different countries have different name rules and rules about name changes, so it’s not that unusual for passports of dual-citizens to have a somewhat different name in one country’s passport than in another country’s passport and yet having to travel with both country’s passports on a given ticketed itinerary.

The passport information loaded by an airline for travel to meet government requirements can have the name vary from the exact name on the airline ticket. Been there, done that a huge number of times.
