The Cat D tix for Love are $84 on Mlife plus $17 service fee, so $101 total. So I'm thinking half off would be $42 plus $17. But I've got promo codes for Cirque shows, so the Cat D is, say $53 plus $17 etc. I'm only saving $11 if that's the case. And would rather use the reward for something else.

Sorry for all that. I'm only 2 days old on this.
The 2-for-1 tickets are based off list price, and as you realized you can often get discounts that make buying two of the tickets with the discount nearly the same as buying two with the Myvegas 2-for-1. So this isn't a very good redemption option. If you buy the reward and decide you don't want it after all, you can refund it and get your loyalty points back, but they only allow a certain number of refunds through the app each month. Supposedly you can call to refund more, but that's a pain.
If you do one paid ticket and one on a reward, you'll have to book the seats next to each other. I've done this before with two separate rewards tickets from mine and my wife's accounts. Just hope that no one grabs the next seat in the mean time.
In my opinion the single show tickets are one of the best values. There are also some good redemptions in buy-one-get-one entrees. Free rooms can be decent too if you don't already have free or discount room offers.
Aria buffet is one of my favorite redemptions, but it's only Monday - Thursday now. A lot of people like the credit at Camelot Steakhouse.
I'm sitting on 4.5 million loyalty points, so I haven't really kept track of the best dollar-point ratio rewards lately.
