If I pay for someone else, do I get points?
I apologize if there's an earlier thread on this- I'm sure there is, but I can't think of unique words to use in a Search and I 've scanned the last 5 pages of posts.

If I donate a certificate for a night or 2 at a local Hilton as a gift for a charity auction, do I get credit for the stay? I'm not even sure of the logistics- would have to work them out with the local hotel. Last year when I paid for 2 nights at the Hilton for family coming into town I gave them my HH # but didn't get credit even though the front desk people said I would.
