E290 can be parked on 18 stands at LCY,

If BA would like the A220, they simply cannot use it at the airport, so it will be many years until the LCY apron and terminal extension to the east is big enough to allow them to have it.
that would seem pretty conclusive! Shame as the A220 is a very good flying experience (save the over loud AC).
