I know what you are saying about the robotic but perfect service on SQ. However on my last couple of long hauls i noticed that it was very different. I asked on my last flight and the senior female Flight Attendant told me that yes there had been a change of attitude, as the airline had got feedback that passengers liked some personality and interaction.
Maybe some of the older FA find it difficult to adjust.
I used to find that while waiting for the door to open at the end of the flight they would chat with me, perhaps commenting on the fact that I had stayed awake all the flight, and what my movements where for the next couple of days.

Now they chat, recently i had a flight attendant write down her favourite places within Changi for breakfast which was awesome .

I have spent time in the Silver Kris Lounge when it has been full , late evening, and also between about 630am and 9am - then it clears out. We often travel on the 1030 am flight to Canberra via Sydney - as that time for arrival suits us at Sydney - arrivals is normally empty and the train connections work well for us.
