Twenty four hour operations are more about sustaining the supply chain than customer convenience. Because truck drivers work at all hours, you don't have to worry about timing when the stores are staffed 24/7. But that assumption no longer holds true if the stores close, so there will be more work required in coordinating the supply chain, most likely increasing costs overall.
