Hrmmm... any general idea how long renewals for GE are taking, or is it just random?

I submitted mine today and on submission got the "We're extending your grace period from 6 months to 1 year because of delays in processing".
I also submitted my APEC renewal today and that was instantly approved, (but I get that there are totally different levels of review there).

But given how long processing new applicants is, how long should I expect to wait for a renewal, and since this is the first time I've needed to renew GE, will I also be required to re-interview?
