At one hilton they explained my diamond-encrusted status allows me to invite anyone (registered or not) to the evening do in the lounge, and the same applied to breakfast.

I've often taken advantage of the former perk, and that has occasional led to the second one.

I'm sure they have no interest in whether the breakfast companion represents a "business meeting", or an overnight room-share....
