Yes of course, it would be ideal if the plane temp was exactly what everyone wanted, and you didn't need to bring a fan. But if you are looking for a solution and not just wanting to vent (no pun intended ), it is something to consider.

Can't speak for all but I have one like I linked and it works great, even on older planes with lower amperage USB ports.

I find it flows significantly more air than a gasper (although it may have something to do with it being much closer to me). You can also direct it much better.

If planes have newer 2.1A USB ports, they could run a VERY high flow fan.
