Yes, fully aware on my own with separate tickets. It'd be close by spain or portugal so I figure YMMV accommodated on next flight, but won't count on it.

So to add to the question: anyone with DP's checking across separate tickets on TN and AF? I am guessing they are inclined to accommodate, especially on a premium ticket.
