This is the largest Marriott Hotel in the world at 2,008 rooms ("largest" according to the authoritative source Wikipedia and every transportation driver I've ever used to get to the hotel from the airport.)
Their target market is big meetings.
Only the East Tower rooms (the tower closest and most desirable to the meeting space) have been renovated so far.
It wouldn't shock me that there will be some renovated rooms on site with bathtubs --- but from discussions at my most recent conference with other attendees with rooms in the East Tower my room (sans bathtub) was typical.
