Yeah, I wouldn't normally stay in this hotel at that price, you are right. I was going to stay at a Hyatt House ($126/night or $252 for the stay). Therefore the 15k points are essentially costing me the difference which is $278 and I am giving up free breakfast but saving $7/night parking.

Update: I have made the non-refundable reservation (Jan 18-20, 2020). I'll report back after the stay when the points post.
