Mine too, I leave next week and cannot wait!

Summer: yes, the heat can be stifling and the rain intermittent. I wouldn't really recommend it.

However, lodging is considerably lower, as are restaurant's pricing and other expenses as well. It's a great value, for sure, but given your HI comments, stay in OR.
