confused: Luxury class = Cadillac XTS or BMW 220i... Elite SUV = Escalade or BMW X3

I am really confused how they assign vehicle classes.

My local National location has Cadillac XTS or BMW 220i both in "Luxury" class. Those are two very different vehicles. For one thing, I cannot fit into the BMW 220i because of my height. It becomes a 2-seater because nobody can sit in the rear seat.

As for "Premium Elite" SUVs, they have the big Cadillac Escalade and little BMW X3 SUV in the same class. I do fit in the X3 just fine, but the other 4 guys my size sitting behind me will probably happier in a big Escalade...

But if someone books a "Standard Elite" car, then he/she will get a little Mercedes(forgot model name, it was tiny sedan, but not the C-class)

It's like playing the slots with them, as I never know what I'm getting. The only way to be sure is to walk to the counter without a reservation and see what they have at the moment. (which translate into $$$$$)

Oh.. and don't get me started on the number of times they tried to give me a 15-passenger Ford Transit van when my reservation clearly stated "minivan"... I only accepted it once because that Ford Transit had less than 20 miles on it, so I figured that a brand-new BIG van is better than the minivan with 30k miles.

Sorry... rant over.
