Our room boy was punctual as we went to breakfast at a similar time each morning. Our room was clean with lots of extra stacked towels per our request by the time we returned from breakfast.
In Male, I didn't have too many transactions, but merchants, at least the ones I visited, all accepted USD at a rate consistent with MVR.
