There seems to be an almost-unknown dining promo going on between Mastercard and Hyatt. I found it at this website. Go to www.hsbc.com.hk. Select "Personal Services", then "Card Services", then "Our Offers", then "Offers of the Month", then Home & Away Prilivege Program", then "Global Offers", and finally "Hyatt".

Obviously, the FFN promotion with Mastercard is listed.

However, there is a Dining promotion whereby guests currently staying in the hotel can quote offer HB611 and get 1,000 points for having lunch or dinner at participating restaurants or through in-room dining! Maximum accummulation is 10,000 GP points. Now, what this has to do with Mastercard I don't really know, since the T&C never indicated that the meal had to be paid with M/C. This seems to be very similar to the "Dining in Asia" promo that Hyatt ran themselves late last year, only this time, you have to be a guest staying at the hotel.

The promotion runs from 01 June to 30 September, and I wish I could have found out earlier. I would have racked up the full 10,000 points by now. Luckily, I'm in the Grand Hyatt Shanghai tomorrow and will give this promo a try.
