Stayed here recently for 1 night. I was able to land an early check in, but even with Diamond status I was placed in literally the worst room in the hotel. Just FYI - if you are placed into room # XX12 where XX = 15,16,17,18, don't even go down to your room. Immediately ask the front desk agent checking you in for a new room. Every time the elevators run (which is pretty much all the time), it sounds like someone is revving up a big block chevy engine on the other side of the wall. It's so loud the floor of the room actually vibrates. It is by far the loudest hotel room I've ever been in in my entire life. I don't know how anyone can possibly sleep in those rooms. Guests at a Waldorf Astoria hotel should not be placed in a room this noisy, it should be for storage or something else.
Hotel was able to move me to a different room after I asked.
