K2 are appalling to deal with in experience. BA ruined some Louis Vuitton luggage that went in the hold with its protective cover on and the handle came our mangled. K2 wanted to repair the bag and refused to allow me to get it repaired by the manufacturer themselves which clearly wasn’t going to work as they had no access to the parts. I escalated within BA CR who ended up paying themselves as K2 wouldn’t budge.

Note however that I do think it’s different from airline to airline as K2 also have handled an SQ claim for me and they couldn’t have been more different - no issues at all in terms of value of luggage reimbursed promptly.
