This is for my brother in law, travelling MEL-CMB-MEL ON 12/25 and returning early Jan next year

he can book MEL-CMB on his asia miles (he says there’s availability) and trying to see if he can buy a 1way CMB-MEL (which can be cheap) rather than using his miles for the return

for departures up to 12/30 (no flight CMB HKG on 31) there’s cheap tickets on N class. From Jan 1st onwards there’s only full fare Y class (about 10x the price of N)

is it possible to predict when the N class for travel in Jan will open up? Eg could it open in Feb?
or will it likely only open up closer to the dates and the existing flights all the way till end dec an exception (possibly related to Sale posted on LK website)?
