Skipping Segments on Award ticket? (Hidden City ticketing)
Hey guys, I tried searching and didn't reveal anything under AA. I think I know the answer but by no means am I an award expert:

Found an award ticket out of my nearest airport to SAN, one way ticket flying F. It is a 2 stop ticket, the third leg is from an alternate airport I fly from. Anyway can I "run late" and ask to just drive to the alternate airport and take the final leg to SAN? That final leg is not available as an award ticket at same price. It is on AS if that makes a difference.

I don't want any areas of stress or worry, hence why I like to buy, in one way or another, the class of travel I want to fly, category of rental car etc. ahead of time so I can enjoy the trip.
