Gold and Silver members will earn 100% miles on all economy fare classes however Blue members will earn 100% miles for Y,B,H,K,M,L fares but only 50% on V,N,O,Q,S and G fares.
Tier points are only earned (for Gold Silver and Blue members) on Y,B,H and K fares in economy.
Also keep in mind that the UK program will award double and triple miles for flights in CW/First while the European program will only give 125%/150%. If you are just looking for status go with the European program.
