If over 4 hours then there should not be a problem.

The agent's suggestion was bogus, you deal with this at check-in in ORD and make it clear you are stopping in MCO.

The way it is showing on the website is common display for a multi-city trip.

Thanks for the answer. Here's my itinerary. On the United homepage it shows as 'Trip to Raleigh, Durham NC' which is why I am concerned. I'll speak to the check-in agent.
