I don't fly UA often but we do have two upcoming award tickets booked that I may have to cancel the day of travel.

Would anyone know what the cancellation fees would be to have the miles reinstated and how closet to departure I can cancel and still get the miles back ?

I booked the tickets for my wife and I at the same time so I'm hoping there is only one cancellation fee. Thanks
