Seats and other useable onboard kit is taken off retiring aircraft and fitted to other aircraft.
There are lots of factors in deciding what to retire when, but I’m led to believe that takeoff and landing cycles is in some ways more important than age per se (and age doesn’t always correlate with total hours either).
