I recently booked a YVR to HKT trip on Air China. I booked it through travelocity as the price was unbeatable. Air China is a Star Alliance member, so I’m wondering a couple of things ......

1. Can I register my Aeroplan number with them, or do I need to submit thru AC for my points?

2. can I use my e-upgrades to move from J to A?

Sorry for the dumb arse questions, my AC travel is primarily domestic so I have little experience with this.
