I don't think this is a great idea anyway, taking people's photo without permission, but in a Malaysian context this is really a bad idea, it is quite offensive. The MH staff in the lounge have name badges so that should be all you need for any complaint. But given you did have lounge access near to your departure gate - and apart from alcohol the rest of the catering is fairly similar - then I think this wasn't a great way of handling this. Personally I would hope you would send an apology into the staff concerned.
I don’t think sending three people including the police to bully me and demand access to my phone is proportionate.
I thought from reading here and on OneWorld site I should have access to F, and it was one of the reasons I went with MH in the end.
The staff member was actually really rude about it, and refused to give name. So all I’ve got is heresay - they can simply claim they refused no one.
