Not to steal OP’s thread, but I’m reading a fair amount of posts regarding difficulty or issues regarding RUCs. After making PM this past year I’ve been on the fence about what to choose as my choice benefit. Given that I’ve been buying about 75% F lately, and the 25% Y I’ve bought has all been instant upgraded to C+, I’m tempted to just take the 20K miles. I’m saving up to eventually, in a few years, buy 2 tickets to JNB in D1 using miles. I don’t really want the hassle of babysitting RUCs and risking my tickets getting screwed up. Are they really this much of a hassle?
