Had a similar thing happen to me, used an RUC and got "upgraded" from a decent economy window to a middle at the very back of the plane. A couple of days after I complained to CS they reissued my RUC ( luckily for the new year) along with 1000 miles. I not sure if the fact that I gave the SJC agents a below 2 on virtually everything on the survey the morning after the flight didn't have something to do with the extra miles.
