How many Chase cards are you "allowed" to have per person? Personal and business? I currently have two business cards and one personal. Have a Southwest Premier Biz, a Southwest Priority Personal, and an Ink Business Preferred (got 80k URs from this). My credit is 830 so excellent as is income. I'll get approved if there are no hard limits. I also have a legit small business so getting biz cards are also no issue.
I was thinking about applying for another personal card (I am good on 5/24) and try to get more points somewhere. I don't think another SW card with RR points is really ideal as I already have a ton of RR points and i do a ton of spend to get CP for two different people/cards.
Ultimate Rewards are always useful as I can use them to book the one BS revenue flight I need per year to get A-List. In regards to URs, are they linked to the credit card that provides them or do they go in some other "pool"? If i cancel the credit card do I lose those URs? If I have two cards that provide URs (one personal one biz) do the URs go in one pool or are they kept in separate pools?
I would like to start doing some minor churning after i get this fourth card, just need to figure out what would be the best card. Looking at Sapphire Reserved for 50k URs. Are there better deals to be had? I am not interested in any hotel rewards programs and don't really care for cash back, would prefer points.
I was also thinking about opening a checking/savings account with Chase (Sapphire checking) but they no longer have the 50 or 60k UR points promotion for a new account). That I would have done, but again i wonder if URs are pooled per person or are they always separate accounts linked to particular cards. TIA
As to where the points reside - answer is quite logical. If they are in your airline account - they stay there. If they are in a credit card account - they stay with the card until you use them. So, for Ult Rewards and AMEX Points - they go away if you cancel.
