I just flew DFW-DOH-ADL, with both legs in QSuites. Don't have much time for a full review, but all I can say was that this was by far the very best experience I've had flying in my life. The hard product was fantastic, and the soft product (the FA's, food, etc.) were nothing short of amazing. On the DFW-DOH flight, I accidentally hit the FA call button, and within 10 seconds one was there. When I told her, "sorry, it was an accident," she said, "since I'm here, are you sure I can't help with anything?"
I've flown in various flat-bed products, beginning with the US Airways Envoy suite, shortly after those were rolled out. Being able to slide the door closed really does make a huge difference. After going to the lav once, I was sitting in my seat getting settled, when a pax and FA seemed to stand just outside. I started sliding the door and they quickly moved out of the way.
I was rear-facing on one leg and forward on the other. I'd definitely prefer the rear, you're closer to the windows, further from the door. And those few inches really do make a difference.
