By the way, pay attention to the T&C they read to you. It will say something about award points getting wiped out. That indeed happened. I had some 2300 points left and they were lost in the downgrade. So be sure sure to up as many points as you can if you want to downgrade. Not a big deal to me; I have no intention to use the new card unless facing a kiosk style credit card terminal that refuses my other cards.
