Help with Beach/Town Vibe spot anywhere in Europe
I am really struggling with our next trip, which is a bit of a new thing for us. We are a well traveled couple who will be travelling for the first time with our 4 month old baby in June. We are flying into Paris, spending 4 nights there (Prince De Galles) , and we are flying out of Rome , and spending 4 nights (St. Regis) there. In between Paris and Rome, we have 9 days to go anywhere. The plan was a beach vacation, and we were pretty set on Naxos or Paros Greece, as we liked being able to have a hotel where we could be on the beach or in the pool, with a baby monitor while baby sleeps in the room. But after some further research, a flight from Paris to Mykonos, and then a ferry to Naxos seems like a lot, and on the way home we would have to ferry to Mykonos the night before, and overnight before an early morning flight to Rome. It just seems like a lot of travel for new parents with a baby, and there must be a simpler place within a direct flight of Paris/Rome, and maybe a bit closer that would suit our needs.
Our requirements are: We would like a luxury hotel with a pool with rooms quite close to the pool so we can deal with baby if necessary, and we would love a beach on location as well. We REALLY want to be close to a town. Not a huge city, but ideally a coastal town where we can walk with stroller to have good meals off-site (we don't love eating at the hotel the entire time). I was eyeing up Puglia or Sicily, but I couldn't find many hotels that fit my criteria. Our budget is fairly flexible - somewhere around 500 Euro/night is fine.
Any suggestions of places to research? Thanks so much.
