The recent angst about upgrades at this property strikes me as a bit silly. Though there are four non-suite room types (Deluxe, Premium, Grand Deluxe, and Executive), their sizes and layouts are the same. The only physical difference is elevation, with Deluxe and Premium occupying the lower floors, Grand Deluxe the middle floors, and Executive the upper. In many hotels, particularly those in older buildings, guestrooms can vary widely in size, views, and overall desirability. Here, the rooms are pretty uniformly nice. Beyond that, there are only 25 suites out of 512 total guestrooms, so suite upgrades are going to be rare.
I appreciate a good upgrade as much as the next guy, but it's simply less of a concern here.
