BTW, I also noticed an airport HP at RDU which seems equally close, but appears to be older. It prices about the same as HH Brier Creek for my date, so to me the choice was a no brainer.

I'd probably put the HP in last place out of the three... The noise isolation is not so good and you can definitely hear planes. It is also older furnishing wise... Perfectly serviceable, but if the cost is equal between the three, it is a no brainer.
