There were several FAMS let go in my area following review/adjudication of their backgrounds. This was nearly two years ago.
I also know of several who were disciplined up to including termination for misconduct.
As far as on duty "misconduct" while a FAM, the report is just numbers. No discussion, in depth review. For example a large number were for "rudeness" or similar when dealing with airline employees. The airlines and their employees are very aware of how simple it is to make a complaint about a federal employee, especially a FAM. They have all been given phone numbers for this purpose. Many of these incidents quite possibly involved differences of opinion, or cases where the airline employee was not following procedure with the FAM. The FAM complained, and presto!, an anon. complaint comes in against the FAM. This is just an illustration, trying to point out that numbers don't always give the true story.
But, with the large number of FAMS, are there going to be legitimate cases of employee misconduct, you bet. As another poster pointed out we are dealing with people.
