Many times over the past few years I have flown on an AP ticket on Air Canada and used the CIBC Aerogold card to pay for the taxes and then obtained zone 2 boarding on my boarding passes. This was the case as late as November, 2019.

But it did not work in December, 2019 or in January, 2020. For both those AP flights in Air Canada I obtained Zone 4 boarding.

Someone else just posted on a other thread that they had the same issue a few days ago.

Is the end of priority boarding when using the CIBC Aerogold card for an AP ticket now a benefit which no longer applies?
