Well, we are in the middle of similar right now, but to us it's just a regular winter storm. 80mph. We get several of these per year.

London City this evening has inevitably been more than a bit dislocated. String of missed approaches, some managed it on the second shot, some diverted after that. Luxair came all the way from Luxembourg, tremendous rock-and-roll down the approach, got within a few hundred feet of the runway (though doubtless misaligned for it), missed approach, held in the storm, and then diverted - all the way back to Luxembourg ! Infuriating.
