Lots of two-bedroom suites consist of a one bedroom suite plus an adjoining room, ideally with the connecting door from the additional room leading into the living room or a foyer rather than the (master) bedroom.

OP should also look for "vacation" properties that are operated by hotel chains as these tend to have apartments rather than just hotel rooms, although they might not provide all the services of a regular hotel.
