I had heard that Sweden was going to restrict overflying Iran, but I didn’t confirm that or seek out what went on with that.

Countries do diverge in what they think is sensible at a time, and even airlines for/from a given country may diverge (in what they think is sensible at a time) from other airlines even for/from the same country.
