Regarding the 3h limit per lounge in EU, did you mean priority pass ones?
some lounges are for 3 hours regardless, not sure about STR's AY partner lounge, just 1 month ago I was in BCN with BA J and the OW lounge denied me entry because I was there 3.5 hours before departure.
