Is this math really correct? I cannot see how you get the extra give-away gold card? If you drop to Gold, you will miss one give-away gold card. If you re-qualify to Platinum, you get the missed give-away gold card later during the year. But you get one extra set of Gold benefits by dropping to Gold and then re-qualifying? Similarly as you get one extra set of Platinum benefits by dropping from Lumo to Platinum and then re-qualifying. Or am I thinking wrong?
