Thanks, that was exactly how I did it before but for different date's flights. So is it even possible to do a F-Advantage and waitlist a F-saver. (Hmmm, sounds self-defeating

The only key is that because you must have enough miles in your account for the award to get on the waitlist they recommend putting yourself on the waitlist before booking the j saver award. That being said, I recall reading a post here where someone mentioned booking a j saver award and then calling SQ to add the waitlist request to the pnr. That person also said that getting on thr waitlist this way will avoid the waitlist request being removed 2 weeks before the flight.
