On a personal level I doubt a theoretically Madrid based job for an essentially non airline position is attractive. The immediate task ahead of the new IAG CEO is the integration of Air Europa into Iberia, going through the regulatory, political and financial hurdles that lie in the way. When Álex ran Vueling he commuted to BCN from "home" and I doubt he will be wanting to do that again.
