I agree with the majority of points here but don't see how, for short haul economy passengers, BA delivers a nicer inboard experience. I've flown Easyjet and Ryan Air in the last week, both have newer aircraft, both have a better (IMO) buy on board selection and service and there was no noticeable difference in comfort/leg room, both flights also landed early which I can't remember happening on SH BA.

With that in mind and taking a trip to MWC in Barcelona from MAN where BA want the best part of £800 to get me there against Easyjets £114 with just about every option ticked it's difficult to see how BA is a better SH option, some tier points and Avios excepted.

In my view they should focus on introducing some USP in the SH space, but of course while they can fill seats at silly money they will see no need to do so.
