They're damn hard to use - you have to spend $2,000 to get $1,000 discount, pass up the usual 25% discount anyway, and max you can use is $1,000 anyway?
Missus and I have been invited by another couple to dinner at GHSH and help burn their coupons. We always ran up to about $4,000 food and wine. The first waiter allowed us a table split to maximise coupon use. The second waiter was strict.
Amex plat line agent told me that Amex “bought the vouchers in advance and most members just let them expire”
As someone who actually dines at GH outlet occasionally I find them somewhat useful as limitations are not as strict as many other coupons. Of course I prefer the vouchers to those 80k points!
