Needless to say, I was disturbed to read the review from brokenwindow referring to an earlier posting of AnttiV. Such incidents are taken very seriously to try and identify the course of the illness, whether indeed it was food eaten from one of the hotel kitchens or from an outside source. We have very strict procedures to follow and I am therefore very concerned that in this case it appears that they were not followed. Although maybe the incident was a long time ago I would be happy to investigate should AnttiV provide me with more details as to when he/she stayed with us.

Should you wish to investigate the Orchid Cafe buffet incident occurred on 21st of August 2017 and was followed up by your staff appropriately via email just a couple days later. The room service incident was on July 23rd 2019. For me personally the incidents are considered a thing in the past not requiring attention but I do appreciate the followup.

As with the other comments I've received, I do understand it is not absolutely certain I got sick from the food I ordered from room service. However having been living in Thailand for years and having experienced my fair share of food poisonings in the first couple of years, I'm confident enough to be fairly certain of the source. If I was not, I would not written the post in the first place as I have nothing against this wonderful property and actually just yesterday recommended it to a client who was travelling to Bangkok for the first time.
