BA most certainly has and has had an interline ticketing agreement with HX. If you purchase a BA ticket and HX is unable to perform its segments, it will be for BA to reroute you. But, if HX goes under and ceases operations, availability on any carrier may be tough and any reroute may be extremely inconvenient.

I would unquestionably book around anything involving HX.
