Hello All: We are considering purchasing 2 Premium Plus tickets GSO to CDG. We normally travel on the cheapest fare available, so not familiar with the 'better' options. The PP fare is not a great deal more than the Economy fare, so seems like a good option. I read that the R fare is eligible for upgrades. I know little about upgrades, except that they seem to go to FF members with high mileage status or those who paid the highest fare price for a ticket (I'm no expert, so could be wrong on this). Can someone please enlighten me on how the upgrade process works? We'd still purchase the PP tickets at this price with no possibility of any upgrade just to give it a try. Though, it would be nice to know how upgrades work. Are they free or do you have to pay? When do you ask for them?
